Mae Ai search for mudslide, 4 bodies found, 1 still missing

The Kok River continues to rise, flooding 2 villages in Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province. All sectors rush to provide assistance. 4 people have died and 1 person is missing.

The Mae Kok River has risen and flooded Tambon Tha Ton and Tambon Mae Na Wang, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province. Mrs. Salinya Khampha Kaew, Mae Ai District Chief, Chiang Mai Province, has ordered all government agencies to help people at Ban Doi Laem. Mobile Development Unit 32 has brought in tractors and personnel to help open a route to Ban Doi Laem successfully. Government agencies, soldiers, volunteer defense corpses, and private companies have searched for the missing persons. The latest news is that 3 people have died, all of whom are members of the same family. One person has a broken leg and another person is missing, the village headman, who has not yet been found.

In Ban Lai Ai, Mae Ai Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, the latest report found 1 dead person and 1 injured person. In two areas, a total o
f 4 bodies were found, 2 injured, and 1 missing person.

In Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Lieutenant Colonel Nopparat Suphakitchkoson, the District Chief of Fang, has asked all government agencies to help the people. The Chiang Mai Irrigation Project has brought water trucks, excavators, and water pumps to urgently help the villagers in Fang District. The latest flooding has affected 4 sub-districts, 33 villages, 3,000 households, and 9,000 people. The water is still flooding in the Maw River basin, with many villages still heavily flooded. It is difficult to enter or exit because the water level is too deep for cars to travel. It still rains occasionally, sometimes heavily, sometimes lightly, and not in all areas. We will wait for the water to recede to survey the total damage again.
