Meeting Pushes Early Establishment of Vietnam Studies Centre at Thailand’s Khon Kaen University

Khon kaen: Vietnamese Consul General in Thailand's Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh recently held a working session with Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University (KKU), on the establishment of a Vietnam Studies Centre at the university.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on accelerating the process of setting up the centre, which aims to promote Vietnamese language and culture studies within the region. The initiative is expected to enhance educational collaboration between Vietnam and Thailand, providing students and researchers with resources and opportunities to deepen their understanding of Vietnam.

The discussions also highlighted the potential benefits of the centre to both academic institutions and the wider community. By establishing a dedicated centre for Vietnam Studies, KKU and its partners hope to foster stronger cultural and educational ties between the two nations, contributing to mutual understanding and cooperation.

The establishment of the Vietnam Studies Centre at KKU represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations, and both parties expressed their commitment to working together to realize this goal in the near future.
