Mekong Delta Launches First Robotics, AI Research Institute

Can tho: Nam Can Tho University on August 18 launched the DNC Institute of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (DNC-IRAI) and the Digital Technology and Innovation JSC, marking the establishment of the Mekong Delta's first institute for robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) research. DNC-IRAI is envisioned as a hub for training, applied research and technology transfer in robotics, AI, and automation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the launch of DNC-IRAI is a significant development in the region's educational and technological landscape. The institute aims to provide a platform for students and researchers to engage in advanced studies and projects, promoting innovation and skill development. It will also facilitate collaborations with industries and academic institutions to drive advancements in technology and automation.

The establishment of the Digital Technology and Innovation JSC alongside DNC-IRAI is expected to foster an ecosystem conducive to the incubation of tech startups and the commercialization of research outcomes.
