Mekong Delta Province of Soc Trang Sets 1.9 Billion USD Export Target for 2025

Soc Trang: The Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang aims to achieve an export value of over 1.9 billion USD in 2025 by boosting the production and processing of key products such as seafood, high-quality rice, fruits, and garments. In 2024, the province achieved a record export turnover of 1.8 billion USD, surpassing its target by 300 million USD.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the provincial authorities have implemented strategic measures to enhance the output and quality of its key exports. This includes investing in advanced processing technologies and expanding market access for its products. The focus on seafood, rice, fruits, and garments is part of a broader strategy to leverage the province’s strengths in agriculture and fisheries.

The province’s efforts to exceed its export target in 2024 demonstrate its potential for further growth in international markets. By fostering collaborations with local businesses and international partners, Soc Trang aims to solidify its position as a major exporter in the region. The targeted increase in export value is expected to contribute significantly to the local economy and create more employment opportunities.
