Meteorological Department warns upper North and upper Northeast of heavy rain in some areas

Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has revealed that the upper North and upper Northeast will experience heavy rain in some areas, while in Bangkok and its vicinity, there will be thunderstorms in 60% of the area.

The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours: The upper North and upper Northeast will experience heavy rain in some areas, while the Central, Eastern and Lower Southern regions will experience heavy rain in some areas. People in the aforementioned areas should beware of the dangers of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rain, which may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. This is because the monsoon trough is passing through the upper part of the North and upper Laos into the low-pressure cell in the upper part of Vietnam, and the southwest monsoon is still covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand.

For the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the sea has waves approximately 1 meter high
. In areas with thunderstorms, the waves are higher than 1 meter. Sailors are advised to avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms.
