This is because the rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand is weakening, while there is a low-pressure cell over northern Vietnam.
For the waves in the upper Andaman Sea, they are starting to weaken with waves about 2 meters high. For the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, waves are 1-2 m
