Bangkok, 'Ratklao' revealed that the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) is joining forces to strengthen the capabilities of Thai communities and enterprises to grow sustainably, and is ready to use the network of over 50,000 postal offices and the e-Marketplace platform to increase distribution channels for products to be seen abroad, helping to generate income for communities and driving the Thai economy. Today (July 7, 2024), Ms. Rattanachai Inwong Suwannakiri, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that the government under the leadership of Mr. Settha Thavisin, Prime Minister, is accelerating the upgrading and strengthening of the industrial sector's potential to create global competitiveness and prepare for new challenges in the future by integrating the work of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society under the leadership of Minister Prasert Chantarawongthong and the Ministry of Industry under the leadership of Minister Pimpattra Wichaikul and many other related government agencies to promote the sustainable growth of SMEs and community enterprises through projects and cooperation to strengthen the potential of Thai SMEs. It is expected that marketing opportunities through various platforms will be created worth more than 200 million baht. The deputy government spokesperson said that Thailand Post Co., Ltd., the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), the Ministry of Industry, through the DIPROM CONNECTION collaboration network, will increase potential in logistics and promote entrepreneurs at all levels, especially community enterprises and SMEs, to be able to access and utilize various digital systems, which will lead to the goal of the Digital Economy with full efficiency by providing knowledge on product development, production processes, standards, and modern packaging design, exchanging knowledge on product storage and warehouse systems, expanding product distribution channels through both offline and online cha nnels, expanding opportunities and supporting various needs for entrepreneurs to increase business value and enhance the status of Digital SMEs. By Thailand Post Co., Ltd., ready to push products to be distributed nationwide through a network of over 50,000 locations and the Thailand Post website, which is an e-Marketplace platform that collects over 20,000 Thai products from over 6,000 entrepreneurs, including offline product distribution channels through 17 ThailandPostMart stores in economic areas, which in 2023 can generate over 200 million baht in revenue. Thailand Post also has a plan to provide product delivery services to Amazon warehouses to expand opportunities and channels for Thai entrepreneurs to send products to sell abroad. In addition, it is preparing to open areas to receive waste materials for businesses under the Green Hub project to bring them into proper management, reduce waste in businesses, support the circular economy according to the principles of the Circular Economy, and drive the Thai economy to be able to compete sustainably.
