Hanoi: Monthly aquatic exports have exceeded 1 billion USD again in October after more than two years, signaling a rosy future for the industry, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). The association reported that export value of aquatic products last month saw a rise of 28% year on year, bringing the total in the first 10 months of this year to 8.27 billion USD, up 11.4% year on year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this significant rise in export value highlights the strong demand for Vietnamese aquatic products in the global market. The growth is attributed to the industry’s efforts in improving product quality, expanding market reach, and maintaining competitive pricing strategies. These efforts have enabled Vietnamese exporters to tap into new markets and consolidate their presence in traditional ones.
VASEP has emphasized the importance of sustaining this growth momentum by continuing to invest in technology and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with inter
national standards, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of Vietnamese aquatic products. The association also calls for supportive policies from the government to facilitate further growth and address challenges faced by exporters, such as logistical constraints and market access issues.
As the industry looks ahead, the positive trend in aquatic exports is expected to bolster Vietnam’s economy and strengthen its position as a leading global supplier of seafood. With continued focus on quality and market expansion, the Vietnamese aquatic industry is poised for sustained growth in the coming years.
