Lao Cai:The Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival 2026 officially began in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, showcasing a grand Xoe dance performance involving 2,026 participants on the evening of October 16.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the opening ceremony was marked by the presence of several high-profile attendees, including Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, as well as representatives from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and various ministries and agencies. Additionally, the Ambassadors of Belarus, Laos, and India to Vietnam were among the distinguished guests.
