NA Chairman Meets Foreign Leaders on Sidelines of IPU-150

Tashkent: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had meetings with Speaker of the Federation Council (Upper House) of the Russian Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, and Speaker of the India Lok Sabha (lower house) Om Birla in Uzbekistan on April 6, within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-150).

According to Vietnam News Agency, these meetings were held to discuss bilateral relations and enhance cooperation between the respective countries. Tran Thanh Man emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration in various fields, underscoring shared interests and mutual benefits.

The meeting with Valentina Matviyenko focused on strengthening legislative ties and exploring opportunities for increased economic cooperation between Vietnam and Russia. Both leaders expressed a commitment to fostering a strategic partnership that benefits both nations.

In discussions with Om Birla, Tran Thanh Man highlighted the strong historical ties between Vietnam and India. The leaders explored avenues to further parliamentary cooperation and discussed potential areas for increased economic and cultural exchange.

The IPU-150 Assembly provided a platform for these discussions, offering an opportunity for leaders to engage in dialogue and share perspectives on global issues.
