NA Chairman Meets Lao Top Leader

Hanoi: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith in Vientiane, Laos on August 9, conveying the sincere regards and condolences of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam, other key Vietnamese leaders to the top Lao leader, senior leaders of Laos, and the bereaved family of Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the strong ties and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. The discussion emphasized the mutual respect and solidarity that have long characterized the relationship between the two nations. The visit by Tran Thanh Man was part of Vietnam's broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen these ties and express solidarity during a period of mourning in Laos.

The leaders also discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation, focusing on areas of mutual interest and the importance of continuing to work closely together on regional and international issues. The meeting reinforced the commitment of both countries to support each other in various fields and to enhance their strategic partnership.
