Hanoi: The 39th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee commenced on November 14 under the leadership of NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man. The two-day meeting aims to review and discuss amendments to several critical pieces of legislation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the committee is set to deliberate on the explanation and adoption of revisions to multiple laws. These include the Law on Value Added Tax (revised), the law concerning amendments to specific articles of the Law on Vietnam People’s Army Officers, the Electricity Law, the Law on Public Investment (revised), and the Law on Health Insurance.
