Hanoi: The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on October 9 discussed the draft law revising and supplementing several articles of the Law on Prices as part of its ongoing 50th session, with a focus on protecting consumer rights and enhancing state management and price regulation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions aimed at ensuring that the revised law will effectively address current challenges in price management while safeguarding consumer interests. The committee emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in price regulation to prevent market manipulation and protect consumers from unfair pricing practices.

The proposed revisions are expected to strengthen the legal framework for state management in price regulation, allowing for more effective intervention when necessary.
