Hanoi: For the first time, the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has organised a forum dedicated to supervision, with the aim of reinforcing the close connection between parliamentary oversight and law-making and decision-making on key national matters, said NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man while chairing the event in Hanoi on August 6.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this forum represents a significant step in enhancing the effectiveness of the National Assembly’s supervisory role within the legislative framework. The initiative aims to ensure that legislative and decision-making processes are more aligned with national interests and developmental goals.
The event focused on creating a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas on how parliamentary oversight can be strengthened to support and guide the country’s socio-economic development.
