Hanoi: The Ministry of Health on September 11 launched a national programme for 2026-2030 focused on strengthening child protection and preventing and minimizing illegal child labour. The initiative aims to ensure safe and healthy environments for children and provide opportunities for their comprehensive development. The launch ceremony took place in Hanoi and was simultaneously connected online with health departments across all 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the programme is designed to address critical issues related to child welfare and labour. By implementing strategic measures, the Ministry intends to create a robust framework that supports the well-being of children while curbing practices of illegal child labour. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the holistic growth of children across the nation.
