Hanoi: The newly formed Quang Tri province, a result of merging the central provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri, is strategically positioned to foster an open and modern economic model. This development is closely linked to the essential East-West and North-South economic corridors. Highlighting this potential, Party General Secretary To Lam emphasized the province’s capacity to leverage its coastal space, deep-water ports, airports, and international border gates.
According to Vietnam News Agency, during a working session with the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of both Quang Binh and Quang Tri on June 25, the Party leader underscored the merger as a continuation of the historical and deeply rooted tradition of solidarity between these two resilient localities. This merger is seen as a significant step toward enhancing regional economic cooperation and development.
