Hanoi: Wharf No. 3 of Lao-Viet International Port was put into operation in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh township, central Ha Tinh province, with key dignitaries present, including Vietnam’s President Luong Cuong and Laos’ Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith. The launch of this facility is set to support infrastructure needs for socio-economic growth in Vietnam and Laos, addressing the rising demand for goods transportation.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the new wharf is expected to significantly enhance the logistical capabilities of the region, facilitating smoother trade and transit between the two neighboring countries. This development marks a substantial step forward in the bilateral cooperation, aiming to boost economic ties and regional connectivity.
