NIC – Google Partnership Powers Vietnam’s Innovation: Deputy PM

Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has hailed cooperation between the National Innovation Centre (NIC) and Google as profoundly significant, helping accelerate Vietnam’s startup and innovation ecosystem, particularly in strategic technology sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI). At a ceremony held in Hanoi on June 18 to announce new initiatives aimed at bolstering AI entrepreneurship and digital literacy in Vietnam, Dung stressed that the Vietnamese Party and Government have identified science – technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the shortest way and vital pillars for Vietnam to deliver on its aspiration of rapid, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient development.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the partnership between NIC and Google is set to introduce a series of programs that focus on nurturing Vietnam’s burgeoning tech talent and fostering an environment conducive to technological advancements. These programs are expected to create a robust framework for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators, providing them with the necessary resources and support to succeed.
