Hanoi: The Hoa Lu Festival has long been a source of pride for residents of the ancient capital. This annual traditional festival, held in Ninh B¬nh, commemorates and pays tribute to the merits of Dinh Tien Hoang, along with previous emperors and ancestors in the cause of nation-building and defense. This year, the festival takes place from April 25 to April 27 (the 9th to 11th days of the third lunar month), featuring a wide range of distinctive activities imbued with the cultural identity of the ancient capital and its people.
According to Vietnam News Agency, more than a bridge connecting the past and the present, the Hoa Lu Festival is entering a new phase, with strong potential to become a powerful cultural industry 'brand,' contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the ancient capital region.
