Fukuoka: A fortnight-long online course focusing on methods of teaching Vietnamese to overseas children concluded on September 20. Jointly organised by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka, Japan, and the Global Network for Teaching Vietnamese Language and Culture, the programme attracted over 500 teachers from 30 countries and territories.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative aimed to enhance the teaching capabilities of educators working with Vietnamese children abroad. The course provided participants with effective strategies and tools for teaching the Vietnamese language, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of Vietnamese culture among young learners worldwide.
The programme’s success highlights the growing interest and commitment to fostering Vietnamese language skills in the global community. By equipping educators with the necessary skills, the organisers hope to ensure that Vietnamese children living overseas maintain a connection to their linguistic and cultural roots.
