OVs in US Laud Policies on Strengthening Connection with Homeland

Washington: Members of the patriotic businessmen and Vietnamese people club in the Washington metropolitan area (DMV) have highly valued the significance of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese (OV) affairs, describing it as a humane and fresh approach encouraging all Vietnamese, wherever they are, to stay connected to their homeland and contribute to national development. Giving their sincere, objective, and constructive opinions on the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress, the Vietnamese expats emphasised that after more than 21 years of implementation, a comprehensive review of the Resolution is needed to fully evaluate its achievements and shortcomings, while updating its content to better reflect the current context of deep international integration.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the members of the club have expressed their appreciation for the policies that support the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland. They believe that these policies play a crucial role in fostering national development by engaging Vietnamese communities abroad in meaningful ways. The club members have called for an updated review of the Resolution to ensure its relevance and effectiveness in the current era of global integration.
