Hanoi: Parliamentary cooperation is a key pillar of Vietnam-Thailand relations, helping to strengthen political trust and effectively implement the agreements reached by the two countries' high-ranking leaders, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam said while receiving President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Sophon Zaram in Hanoi on August 7.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of legislative collaboration as a foundational element in the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand. The discussions highlighted the role of parliaments in fostering mutual understanding and facilitating the execution of agreements made by the leaders of both nations.
