Hanoi: A ceremony took place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces’ Traditional Day, which spans from August 19, 1945, to August 19, 2025, and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, celebrated from August 19, 2005, to August 19, 2025). At the event, Party General Secretary To Lam delivered a keynote speech. The ceremony was also attended by State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, along with former leaders of the Party and the State.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event highlighted the significant milestones and achievements of the People’s Public Security Forces over the past eight decades. The presence of high-ranking officials underscored the importance of the security forces in maintaining national security and public order. The ceremony served not only as a celebration of past accomplishments but also as a call to
continue the tradition of dedication and service to the nation.
