Sofia: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam visited workers in Ho Chi Minh City on April 27, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2026) and International Workers’ Day (May 1).
According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit was part of a series of events to commemorate the significant historical milestones and to honor the contributions of workers in the region. During his visit, To Lam engaged with the workers to discuss their concerns and aspirations, emphasizing the importance of their role in the nation’s development.
To Lam’s meeting with the workers also highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve the working conditions and welfare of the labor force. The discussions included topics such as workplace safety, fair wages, and the implementation of policies to support workers’ rights. The visit aimed to reinforce the commitment of the government to address the needs and challenges faced by the working community in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country.
