Petrovietnam Tasked with Six Pioneering Initiatives to Fuel Double-Digit Growth

Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlined six pioneering initiatives for state-owned giant Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (Petrovietnam) to drive the country toward double-digit growth next year during a conference in Hanoi on December 26. On the occasion, the Government leader announced the appointment of Petrovietnam CEO Le Ngoc Son as Chairman of its Members’ Council, succeeding Le Manh Hung, who had been assigned to act as Acting Minister of Industry and Trade.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the strategic initiatives set forth by Prime Minister Chinh aim to bolster Petrovietnam’s contribution to national economic growth. These initiatives are expected to enhance the company’s operational efficiency and expand its presence in the energy sector, aligning with Vietnam’s broader economic objectives for the upcoming year. The appointment of Le Ngoc Son as Chairman marks a significant leadership transition within Petrovietnam, emphasizing the government’s confidence in his ability to steer the company through these pivotal changes.
