Phrae city is submerged, Yom River rises and overflows, flooding the city.

Phrae city is submerged, all roads are submerged, cars cannot pass through, the economic area is collapsing, the Yom River is rising and overflowing into the city, 22 cows of villagers are swept away by the water, 4 of them were saved.

The flood situation in Phrae Province has not shown any signs of decreasing up until now, but water from the Yom River has overflowed and flooded every road in Phrae City. Cars are unable to enter Phrae Municipality. The main economic areas of Phrae City have high levels of water. Phrae Municipality is rushing to pump out the water, but is unable to do so because the water has all flown back into the city.

On secondary roads in rural villages in Song District, two roads were cut off, thousands of rai of rice fields and cornfields were flooded. It was reported that 22 cows belonging to villagers were swept away by the water, with four of them being rescued with great difficulty.

Phrae Province has issued a warning to those who will drive into the city to use the Super Highwa
y, which extends to Nan Province, because the city is inaccessible. Several temples and ancient sites have been flooded, with dozens already. The water level is expected to continue to rise because this year’s flooding is purely a result of the Yom River, with no tributaries joining it. In addition, Phayao has had a high rainfall. The Yom River is the main river that receives water from Phayao, Pong District, and Chiang Muan District. It is expected that in the next two days, the water will overflow into Long, Wang Chin, Sukhothai, and Phichit Districts. We must prepare to receive this mass of water in full.
