PM Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh Expressway

Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 1 (or the fourth day of the lunar new year) attended a groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh expressway’s section running through the southern province of Binh Duong: The Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh expressway’s Binh Duong section is more than 52km long. It is designed with six lanes, enabling vehicles with maximum speed of 100 km per hour.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the project aims to improve connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and the surrounding regions. The expressway is expected to facilitate smoother traffic flow and reduce travel time for commuters and transporters.

The expressway is part of a broader infrastructure development strategy to boost economic growth and regional integration. The government hopes that the new route will help attract investment and foster economic opportunities in the southern provinces.
