Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 27 chaired a meeting between standing Cabinet members and domestic small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to identify and address challenges and obstacles facing the firms, and outline strategies for them to thrive and contribute to the country’s rapid and sustainable growth.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference focused on critical issues that SMEs encounter, including access to finance, regulatory hurdles, and the need for technological advancements.

The meeting served as a platform for open dialogue between government officials and business leaders. Participants discussed potential reforms and initiatives that could enhance the operational environment for SMEs, thereby enabling them to play a significant role in the national economy. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of SMEs in driving innovation and employment, underscoring the government’s commitment to facilitating their development.

In addition to addressing current challenges, the conference also explored future opportunities for SMEs in international markets.
