Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a national teleconference on June 22 aimed at accelerating efforts in three critical areas: eradicating substandard housing, advancing key transport projects, and boosting public investment disbursement. This comprehensive event, which connected all 63 provinces and centrally-run cities, marked a significant push in the government’s commitment to national development.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the teleconference featured the fifth meeting of the central steering committee dedicated to the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide. This initiative underscores the government’s focus on improving living conditions for citizens by eliminating inadequate housing.
Additionally, the event included the 18th meeting of the state steering committee responsible for overseeing nationally important transport projects. The discussions aimed to address challenges and ensure the timely completion of these infrastructural undertakings, which are critical
for enhancing connectivity and stimulating economic growth.
The teleconference also comprised this year’s second meeting on the acceleration of public investment disbursement. This segment focused on strategies to expedite the allocation and utilization of public funds to foster economic development and infrastructure improvements across the nation.
