Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung hosted a welcome ceremony for his Thai counterpart Anutin Charnvirakul in Hanoi on June 8 afternoon. Anutin Charnvirakul is on an official visit to Vietnam and is also attending the third ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) 2026. Following the welcome ceremony, the two Prime Ministers held talks.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand. The discussions during the talks are expected to cover various areas of mutual interest, including economic collaboration, regional security, and cultural exchange. The ASEAN Future Forum, where both leaders will participate, focuses on the future trajectory of the Southeast Asian region and aims to foster cooperation among member states.
