PM Hails Banking Sector’s Performance, Contribution to National Development

Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 31 highlighted the achievements of the banking sector, with an open institutional framework, pioneering infrastructure, flexible policies, sound management, and effective problem-solving, benefiting the people and contributing to a self-resilient nation while attending the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV)'s Hanoi conference to review its 2025 performance and launch tasks for 2026.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister praised the sector for its efforts in creating a robust financial environment that supports economic growth and national development. The conference, held to evaluate the sector's performance over the past year, focused on the banking industry's role in maintaining economic stability and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the banking sector in fostering a resilient economy, highlighting the implementation of flexible policies and sound management practices. These efforts, he noted, have been instrumental in addressing economic challenges and advancing the country's long-term economic goals.
