PM Inspects Expressway Projects in Mekong Delta, Urges Faster Progress

Mekong delta: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 21 inspected the construction progress of two major expressway projects in the Mekong Delta, namely Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang and Cao Lanh – An Huu, and removed obstacles facing them.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister’s visit aimed to accelerate the development of these crucial infrastructure projects. The expressways are expected to significantly enhance connectivity and economic growth in the Mekong Delta region. During the inspection, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of timely completion and addressed the challenges currently hindering progress.

The Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway is designed to bolster transportation links and facilitate trade in the region. Similarly, the Cao Lanh – An Huu expressway is anticipated to improve travel efficiency and support regional development initiatives. The Prime Minister’s intervention is seen as a pivotal step in overcoming the existing hurdles and ensuring that the projects meet their targeted timelines.
