Quang Nam: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 8 requested enterprises in the central province of Quang Nam to make efforts to help the whole country achieve an 8% GDP growth rate in 2025 and a double-digit rate in the coming years. PM Chinh paid a working visit to HS Hyosung Group, listed among the Top 30 largest economic groups in the Republic of Korea (RoK). On the same day, he visited the Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO) at the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. He also made an inspection trip to Chu Lai Airport.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Quang Nam’s businesses in supporting national economic objectives. During his visit to HS Hyosung Group, PM Chinh discussed strategies for strengthening economic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. The focus was on leveraging Hyosung’s expertise to enhance industrial capabilities in Vietnam.
During his visit to THACO, PM Chinh reviewed the company’s contributions to the automotive and manufacturing sectors. He encouraged THACO to expand its operations and invest in technological advancements to drive economic growth. The Prime Minister highlighted the potential for Chu Lai Open Economic Zone to become a pivotal hub for trade and industry in the region.
PM Chinh’s inspection of Chu Lai Airport underscored the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure to facilitate business activities. He urged local authorities to expedite development projects that would enhance the airport’s capacity and efficiency, supporting Quang Nam’s role in national economic growth.
