PM Urges Shift Towards Deeper, More Effective International Integration


Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh announced that 2026 will mark the beginning of a new phase of national integration, emphasizing the necessity of pursuing international cooperation in a comprehensive, substantive, and effective manner, as aligned with the foreign policy directions set by the 14th National Party Congress. Speaking at a national conference reviewing the international integration efforts of the National Steering Committee for International Integration in 2025 and planning tasks for 2026 on January 14, PM Chinh, who also leads the committee, underscored that integration aims to achieve three primary objectives: boosting Vietnam’s stature, capacity, position, and credibility globally; enhancing strategic proactiveness in international relations; and advancing the material and spiritual well-being of the population.



According to Vietnam News Agency, PM Chinh’s remarks outline a strategic vision for Vietnam’s role on the international stage, highlighting the importance of aligning national objectives with global trends and partnerships. The conference served as a platform to assess past integration efforts and strategize future initiatives, reflecting Vietnam’s commitment to engaging more deeply with the international community. The Prime Minister’s address emphasized the pivotal role of international integration in driving national development and prosperity.
