Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged ASML to accelerate the establishment of a semiconductor training, research and development centre in Vietnam, while receiving Eduard Stiphout, Senior Vice President of the Dutch corporation, in Hanoi on January 15. The leader said the Government highly values the interest shown by the world’s leading semiconductor group in Vietnam, viewing it as clear evidence of the confidence of global technology corporations in the country’s cooperation potential and investment environment.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of developing Vietnam’s semiconductor industry and expressed his hope that ASML’s presence would foster technological advancements and skill development in the region. This initiative is seen as a strategic move to enhance Vietnam’s standing in the global semiconductor market and to attract further investment from international tech firms.
