Free from the pressure of grades or strict schedules, these summer classes held within the pagoda precincts foster a love for the mother tongue among children, impart the ethnic group's fine cultural values, and contribute to preserving traditional cultural identity while strengthening national unity. According to Vietnam News Agency, these educational activities are organized as a part of efforts to ensure the younger generation of Khmer people retains a strong connection to their cultural roots.
