President Ho Chi Minh’s Diplomatic Legacy Enhances Vietnam-US Relations

Washington dc: To mark the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2026), the Vietnamese Embassy in the US organized a solemn incense-offering ceremony in memory of the late leader at the Vietnam House in Washington DC on the afternoon of May 19 (local time). Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung, while addressing the ceremony, highlighted that President Ho Chi Minh's forward-looking diplomatic vision laid a robust foundation for Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, and cooperation with all nations based on mutual respect and mutual benefit.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the commemoration emphasized the enduring impact of President Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic principles, which continue to play a significant role in strengthening Vietnam's relations with the United States. The event at the Vietnam House served as a reminder of the historical ties and ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the US.
