Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has called for the establishment of an elite, professional, and rapidly deployable international search and rescue force. This initiative aligns with Vietnam's efforts to enhance its capability to respond to global humanitarian emergencies and play a more significant role in international disaster relief operations. During a ceremony in Hanoi on July 11, which celebrated the Vietnamese military and public security rescue mission's contributions to Venezuela following the twin earthquakes, PM Hung lauded the team for their bravery, professionalism, and humanitarian dedication.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the event saw attendance from notable figures, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang, leaders from various ministries and agencies, all 124 members of the rescue mission, and Charg© d'Affaires of Venezuela in Vietnam, Estela del Valle Quijada Su¡rez. The ceremony highlighted Vietnam's commitment to international solidarity and its readiness to support countries in times of need through well-coordinated and professional rescue missions.
