Private Sector’s Development Key to Vietnam’s Economic Growth

Hanoi: The steering committee for the building of a project on the private economic sector’s development convened its inaugural session on March 15 to outline the framework, objectives, and orientations of the project, which will be submitted to the Politburo. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, who also serves as standing deputy head of the committee, chaired the session.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the committee’s efforts are aimed at fostering the growth of Vietnam’s private sector, which is seen as a crucial component in the country’s overall economic strategy. The session focused on establishing a comprehensive plan that will guide the development of the private sector, emphasizing its role in boosting national economic performance.

The project is expected to address key challenges faced by the private sector, including regulatory barriers and access to capital. By tackling these issues, the government aims to create a more conducive environment for private enterprises, thereby enhancing their contribution to the economy.

The committee’s work aligns with Vietnam’s broader economic goals, which include increasing competitiveness, promoting innovation, and ensuring sustainable development. The project will be submitted to the Politburo for further review and approval, marking an important step in Vietnam’s economic planning process.
