Quang Ngai strives to eliminate all temporary, dilapidated houses in 2025

The central province of Quang Ngai has set a target to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, said Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Hoang Tuan. By 2022, the province had 21,138 poor and near-poor households with substandard housing area and quality. Since 2022, Quang Ngai has provided support to repair and build over 7,000 houses for poor and near-poor households. Of the financial support, funds from national programmes on sustainable poverty reduction were used to repair and build 4,281 houses. Meanwhile, resources from the State, Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and organisations in the province were mobilised to repair and build houses for 2,721 households.
