Hanoi: Search teams have recovered the remains of 150 fallen soldiers at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City since the excavation began on June 23, according to the Ho Chi Minh City High Command. As of 4 pm on July 29, the recovery effort had uncovered 128 individual sets of remains and 22 others from four mass graves, along with a number of personal artefacts. Authorities are committed to expanding the search and recovering all remaining martyrs' remains, ensuring they are brought home in tribute to their sacrifice and with the deep respect of the Party, local authorities, armed forces and people of Ho Chi Minh City. According to Vietnam News Agency, the operation at Le Thi Rieng Park has been ongoing for over a month, involving a coordinated effort between local authorities and the military. The initiative aims to not only recover the remains but also to identify them and return them to their families for proper burial and commemoration.
