Hanoi: The Ministry of Public Security held a send-off ceremony and rehearsal in Hanoi on January 10, deploying approximately 5,000 policemen to complete security preparations for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress. Standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat and head of the subcommittee for the organisation of the Congress, Tran Cam Tu, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the heightened security measures with only 10 days left until the event's commencement.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Tran Cam Tu highlighted the rapidly evolving and complex global and regional developments, which have been exploited by hostile forces to intensify sabotage activities. He pointed out the increasingly sophisticated and complex methods being employed by these forces, necessitating stringent security protocols for the Congress. The rehearsal was a crucial step in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the significant political event.
