Ho chi minh city: A send-off ceremony for the Vietnamese delegation to compete at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand from January 15-27, 2026, was held on December 16 in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese delegation has been a top performer at the ASEAN Para Games for many consecutive years. This year, they aim to win 40-50 gold medals and secure a position among the top four to five nations in the region. The ceremony highlighted the athletes’ dedication and the nation’s support as they prepare to represent Vietnam on the international stage.
