Hanoi: The World and Vietnam Report under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a special publication highlighting 65 years of brotherhood between Vietnam and Cuba. This launch marks the 65th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (1960-2025) and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year 2025. The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes and his spouse, Palestinian Ambassador and Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam Saadi Salama, alongside representatives from central agencies, ministries, and sectors. Former ambassadors and experts who have studied and worked in Vietnam and Cuba also attended the event.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the publication reflects the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two nations, showcasing their deep-rooted diplomatic relations. It aims to celebrate and further strengthen the ties through cultural and historical reflections, emphasizing mutual support and collaboration over the past decades. The initiative is part of broader efforts to commemorate significant milestones in Vietnam-Cuba relations and foster ongoing partnership and understanding.
