Hanoi: A special live television programme was held and broadcast live on January 28 evening to commemorate the 85th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh's return to the home country to lead the Vietnamese revolution (January 28, 1941-2026). The process by which President Ho Chi Minh laid the foundations for the revolution, enabling the nation to regain its independence and freedom was re-enacted in the programme entitled "Hai Tay Xay Dung Mot Son Ha" (Building a Nation With Two Hands). It was staged across four localities of profound significance in his life: Cao Bang, Nghe An, HCM City and Hanoi. Party and State leaders among others attended the programme.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was a tribute to President Ho Chi Minh's significant contributions to the Vietnamese revolution. The programme highlighted the strategic decisions and actions he undertook to secure the country's independence.
