Da nang: State President Luong Cuong recently visited residents affected by floods in Go Noi commune, Da Nang, in conjunction with his participation in the Great National Unity Festival. The visit was aimed at offering support and encouragement to those impacted by the natural disaster.
According to Vietnam News Agency, prior to his engagement with the flood-affected communities, President Cuong, along with his delegation, paid respects at several significant sites. They laid wreaths and offered incense at the Dien Ban Martyrs’ Cemetery, the Memorial House of Hero Nguyen Van Troi, and the Memorial House of Governor Hoang Dieu, honoring the memory of these historical figures.
In addition to his visits to these memorial sites, President Cuong took the opportunity to meet with residents in Go Noi commune. He also presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ngon, who resides in Bao An village and is 105 years old. The gesture was part of the President’s broader efforts to provide moral support and recognition to individuals and families affected by the flooding in the region.
