Hanoi: Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah arrived in Hanoi on November 30 afternoon, marking the start of his three-day state visit to Vietnam through December 2. The visit is upon the invitation of State President Luong Cuong. Upon his arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, the Sultan was welcomed by head of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Brunei Tran Anh Vu, and Hanoi People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen, among other officials.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and discuss potential areas of cooperation. The Sultan is scheduled to engage in discussions with Vietnamese leaders and participate in various events during his stay.
The visit is expected to deepen diplomatic ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to enhance their partnership.
