Synchronised, Modern Infrastructure Needed for High Economic Growth Target: PM

Hanoi: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has directed the construction sector to prioritise developing a synchronised and modern infrastructure system, and accelerating urbanisation, urban development, and regional connectivity, calling them key pillars for sustaining high economic growth in the coming years. The Government leader chaired a meeting on April 29 to review the Ministry of Construction's performance since early 2026 and outline priorities ahead.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in achieving the country's ambitious economic targets. He urged the Ministry of Construction to focus on creating a cohesive infrastructure network that supports urbanisation and regional connectivity, which are essential for driving economic progress.

The meeting also highlighted the need for strategic planning and investment in infrastructure projects that can enhance the country's competitive edge. By fostering urban development, the government aims to create a conducive environment for businesses and attract foreign investment, thereby boosting economic growth.

In his address, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung reiterated the government's commitment to supporting the construction sector in overcoming challenges and achieving its goals.
