Hanoi: The Naval Region 2 Command, based in Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City, convened a meeting on January 15 to allocate responsibilities to a working delegation of journalists. This was in preparation for their mission to visit and extend Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to officers and soldiers stationed on the DK1 platform, naval vessels on active duty at sea, and the Con Dao Special Zone.

According to Vietnam News Agency, later on the same afternoon, Tet gifts and supplies were loaded onto two vessels. These vessels are scheduled to depart on January 16, carrying the festive packages to their intended recipients.
