Hanoi: Major General To Anh Dung, the Director of the Department of Public Security of Thanh Hoa province, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 tenure and elected as the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term. Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of its Organisation Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc presented the Party Central Committee Secretariat's decision to Dung at a conference on July 27.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this significant leadership change comes as part of the province's strategy to strengthen its governance and administrative functions. Dung's appointment is seen as a pivotal move in the ongoing efforts to bolster public security and streamline the operations within the province's governing bodies.
